i sent a pm few months back to Wayne about it.
He didn't said is "impossible" but we didn't elaborate.
But i keep thinking about it and i think i dont have the knoledge to do it.
So i need your help.
I know already that to drive an output transformer, lets say in a 312 style we need something like BD139/138. but then what?

Any advice here?

I use the Hybrid term, but dont relate to JLM hybrid please.

Probably not impossible, but:

Input bias current is quite high

Input current noise is high too. So neither of inputs should see impedance
higher than Kohm or so.

Could be quite tricky to compensate to work with low closed loop gains.
Parameters are not well defined for calculating any compensation, so
it would be a lot of bench work and trial and error (unless spice model
is acurate enough).

Low open loop gain, 70dB max. However it is over wide bandwidth.

This would be my 2 cents: firs two issues have no workaround and would
limit scope of uses.

However, it could be interesting in API312 type pre if you could make
stable enough
