In Maine, it CAN mean a backwoods airplane:

a de Havilland Beaver on the step and taking off at the Annual Seaplane Fly In Greenville Maine 2007.

Mostly, beaver is a large rodent that builds shaky dams which wash-out and carry roads away.

We need a license to trap for fur. No license for photo-ops.

*TRAP*. What kind of fool would try to "catch" a beaver?

On a more serious note, it always baffles me WHY WE think because we have knifes and guns and seem to be
"more advanced" than all the other living "critters", we can just wipe them out for whatever reason :

Sharks - live in the sea and they eat whatever flaps around in front of them .... so what ? it's what they do
Beavers - live in the wild and build dams and cut trees with their BIG fantastic teeth .... so what ? it's what they do

Why the F**k can we NOT leave these poor animals alone ?.... we are one too, what if something bigger
and stronger just sees us as an inconvenience and decides to wipe US out ... ?

RANT over ....

EDIT ... tough, the guy should not have been bothering that beaver in the first place, one less idiot in the world.
