Here are some pics of my bloo LA2.
This was my first endeavor in diy, and was a great learning experience. Thanks to Scenaria, SSLtech, PRR, NYDave, CJ, and cayocosta for your guidance.

These pics are about 800k each

The unit sounds awesome, but there is one problem. When I send a 1k tone the, output looks like this:
sine wave
Is that normal?
Cheers,
Caine

wow, it looks good!

now for the sine wave.. I haven't seen that too much, to me it looks like some kind of ringing or harmonic.. anyone else?

Looks to me like you have a 6-Hz imposed on the 1kHz. YOu probably have the probe connected to one-leg only. Connect the probe to pin 2 and the ground clip on the probe to pin 3 and NOT pin one.

See if the trace is clearer, I betcha a doughnut and coffee it's cool.

Nice job Cainester.

Hey, one of the power supply caps looks like it's a little close to the 6aq5 pins - if so, you might want to move that clear.

That's all it was.

I like my coffee like I like my women... -Small, bitter and very quickly drunk!

I like my doughnuts like I like my women too: ...In bed, early and very messy!!!

Keefus sillius maximus.

You might want to move the two electros to the far right too - might be the pics but they look awfully close to shorting the caps in front of them.

Ron,
the cap close to the 6aq is angled so it shouldn't touch, and the others are pretty firmly in place. Thanks for lookin out for a brotha'!

Keith, are you a cop?

Steve, the sowters sound awesome. Extremely clean and detailed. With my scope reading correctly now  , a sweep starts to fade at around 40k and is gone by about 80kHz.
The wiring on the input is a bit sloppy. I should have put a barrier strip there.

Thanks for the great comments.
Caine

Congrats.
