I have to agree. After I built several stomp boxes I moved on to build 4 channels of Jeff's VP26 mic pres. I had an issue on the last one I built and learned a lot about troubleshooting. I found I had a cold solder joint on the T-pad attenuator ;D Anyways, I highly recommend them. They sound great too!

I've looked at lunchboxes before and thought they were cool but didn't really want one until now. it actually seems viable too.

anyone here in the UK had experience or bought a GDIY511 rack? is there a UK sourced alternative elsewhere?

btw onlymee, these units look sweet!  :)

btw: the 511 rack is UK/EU/US based - sahib is based in the uk! and there is no alternative source anywhere as far as i know - AFAIK these guys have worked hard to make it as cheap and high quality as possible... i think you can't go wrong with them if you decide to go the 11 way rack route.

or you can do a more DIY solution and buy some card edge connectors and make your own casing and power supply out of whatever you have lying around :)

Mid this week they're expected to me. So fingers crossed.
Everything else incl. postage boxes are ready and waiting to be sent

Working on manual at the moment

Onlymee,

are you taking pre orders?
If yes I'm in for two.

Cheers,
Paavo

Hopefully will have enough to go round I'd say, so will just let everyone know when they're in and accept payment then.
I'll put you down for 2 anyway just in case there's a mad rush!  Same for everyone else that's posted
