All good.
There's 100 in the first batch, which I'm assuming will be enough. If not, I can order another straight after

so whats it going to be then step right up first come first served when they are ready, or is there, will there be a list?
thank
p

Good question.. it was going to be a 'step right up first come first served when they are ready' but somehow we got more of a list vibe going.  Not sure what the fairest way to do it is now really.. I guess I'm relying on the fact that I'll have enough, which I'm sure I will.. 100 haven't been spoken for in the thread, so we should be all good.

Haven't really answered your question.. but I'm not quite sure anymore !

indeed...
anyhoo,
is there a BOM so we can check it out/start comping a list?
I know for a fact i wont have all the bits stocked.
:D

Metal workers have shipped finally.  So as soon as it arrives at my door, we're rocking.

The BOM is here, in mouser import tool format.. For those unfamiliar, it's very easy.  Sign in to mouser. Go to EZ Buy.  Go to import BOM tool. And paste in everything in this notepad file. NV73micpre BOM rev1
Then save as project etc.

Annoyingly, some of the parts are already out of stock.
Also, you'll end up with more than you need for 6.81k resistors, to allow for matching.  And also the same for the breakapart sockets, to allow for less than nimble fingers breaking them!

I'll set up a little web page up now, with all details of stuff. Hopefully will be up by the end of the day.

As a side note, I'm assuming recycling/reusing mouser plastic bags is OK to put the screws/nuts etc. in for you?

Why do we need to match resistors? Is that only for people building stereo units?

Do you have an estimate on how much it would cost to build a complete single unit, just checking on my budget.

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but I can't find the models of the Carnhill transformers anywhere.

Manny, you only need to match the pair of 6k8 resistors - like you do in EVERY preamp that has phantom power, right?? :)

aye

Ah, thought I posted it in my last post.. apologies.

The transformers from Colin at Audio Maintenance, VTB9045, VTB1148 and switch is GR-03-001.

Also the only other thing to buy is the DC-DC converter for those running off +-16V (not needed if you're using +-24V rails)
This can be bought from digikey     445-2492-ND

EDIT: forgot to say... As mentioned previously, holes are available for Ed's input transformer too

I have looked and looked at your photos, but cannot spot the power converter.  Can you point it out for me?
Thanks!
Best,
