I'm a BIG fan of R&B, soul and blues music.  This one mainly centers around Chess and Vee-Jay in Chicago:

Thanks for sharing Brian! I modeled most of my early bass training around James Jamerson, got the drunk grooves down and everything :)

Great insight into Chicago blues. When I was an angst ridden teenager and under age beer drinker back in the 60s I was a regular visitor to the Monday Blues Club at our local pub. I saw Muddy Waters, Duster Bennett and even shared a urinal with Alexis Korner. The house band "Ma Grinder's Blues Breakers" was pretty good too. Most nights there was a section where they played some risque records on the Trojan label. Great times. THanks for sharing.

Cheers

Ian
