Hi Fabio,

How about a PCB for the S*P*L Tr%ns*@nt D*s%gn$r ?

Oh yes!!!!!!! :thumb:

Nice little circuit I'd love to play around with but it's too complicated to put on a breadboard or vero (at least for *me*... Jurgen already made a SPL-TD on veroboard - complete with his mods!). Anything that big makes sense to design a PCB in my book, but that's just me...

Recording engineers swear up and down it's saved their bacon on lousy drums tracks in particular, but it sounds like it would do LOTS of things, especially with a little tweaking.

I also second the SPL sidechain with current state-of-the-art ICs - i.e., THAT 2181. :thumb:

Or even a whole version of the SPL compressor with room for four paralleled 2180s for the VCAs to replace the 202 modules that you can't get anymore.

I've thought about doing both layouts myself, but haven't gotten around to it.

So many projects, so little time...

That's cool, I had already giving up hope for this one but it's making some comeback
ok i'll throw a vote for the tran$ient De$igner too!
Although I placed a vote already, If its at all possible - t. De$igner would rock.

I am checking this right now: http://www.oldcrows.net/~jhaible/transient/jh_tran_gate.html

I bet you could knock this out pretty quick.
Cinemag still selling iron, right?

CJ and Gary,

Not too hard :)
For a perfect copy I would need a scan of the solder side (the best possible) and some measurements of the real board, contact L and W, spacing and some tracks (for proper scaling). Massive gerber edit.

For a design from the schematic it is much better and easy.

So it´s a Q8 what?

another vote for the tran$ient De$igner :green:
And a gtr splitter please... need about 8 channels of those !

I mentioned several posts back that I'd consider doing a PCB design of the SloBlo preamp. Well, after messing around with it for a fews hours, I feel that the SloBlo should be left to the point-to-point world. Many of the caps are huge (duh) and physical sizes will vary. So I'm thinking a nice turret board layout is much more appropriate. I'm just gonna leave this one as is.

So I guess that means I'm still interested in a PCB layout... I'll skim back through this thread and see what to do.
