Nice build! Which body did you use? And which circuit board set, D-87?
I have a new interface coming today, I will make some recordings this weekend and post here.
Thank you, I used the Mic & Mod 87 kit without the transformer or capsule. I bought everything before finding this site and all the information here or I might have made different choices, but it turned out nicely.Nice build! Which body did you use? And which circuit board set, D-87?
Beautiful and wonderful work! I'm also looking forward to the arrival of the capsule!

You can't really see it through most meshesThe gray rings have a vintage vibe and look really cool! Awesome! The light blue rings are also very intriguing. The subtle, fashionable appearance visible through the mesh is surely a stylish touch!
i'm a little confused. mid/side is a stereo technique, but these uploads are mono. are they only the side track? if so, why?I recorded some samples, I just have my voice and an electric guitar, so those are the recordings. Equipment used was the U87, Prism Sound Lyra 2 via USB to Reaper. Amplified to 0db peaks and converted to flac in Audacity. The guitar recordings were mid-side with the U87 in figure 8 and a Beyer M160 cardioid, as well as the U87 in cardioid, both about 18" from the 2x10" speaker cabinet driven by a Matamp 1224. I did clean and dirty guitar for each configuration and one spoken vocal track with the U87 switched to omni about 8" away.
With the blue ring, you can instantly know where that capsule on the shelf came from. You can't really see it through most meshes

I feel that, I'm in the MidwestI messed up and exported mono, I also deleted the projects after uploading to soundcloud to save space on my drive. Complete sound sample failure. We just got about 3 feet of snow and it's still coming down, my snowblower is not up to the task, so it's likely that most of today will be shoveling and crying for me. I'll do some more vocal samples based on the requests later in the week.
