Hi all,
I have been lurking for a while, mainly because I googled to this topic:
http://www.groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=1490
I am in the process of building a mixer, trying to learn as I go long so bear with me if these questions seem simple!
I plan to use this mixer purely for the stereo line level outs of my equipment, no EQ or bussing just keeping it simple, hopefully. I now have to choose between using N5532 or 2SK170 in the pre-amp stage (as shown in Buttachunks mixer http://electronicdave.myhosting.net/miscimages/buttamxr.gif ). Can anyone tell me which would be best in terms of sound quality?
Also I have to decide which capacitors to use. The aforementioned schematic shows C1 0.22 and C2 2.2 which seem to be without polarity. Having read through a few previous posts it seems that Tantulum cpas would be best. Is my assumption correct and if I post a link for my suppliers caps specs can someone more knowledgable take a look?
I think that will do for now, I look forward to seeing what this rather impressive collection of audio electronics clever folk can say
Kind Regards
Dave Moss
