Can you please tell me where to find grayhill footprint? did you draw it whit kicad footprint editor?

Sign up and download what ever symbol, footprint, or 3D .stp file you need for your design. Just make sure you double check measurement with the component datasheet because there could be discrepancies. Also, you may want to adjust pth pads for mechanical parts to be larger.
For instance the grayhill switch footprint I downloaded had the pin spacing 1.905 when the datasheet clearly states 1.91 spacing. I had used the 1.905 spacing on my first run and the particular grayhill I had was hard to fit. The pin spacing has a tolerance as well of .13mm. The footprint I sent you has the corrent spacing with .60pth. so you can run a .325mm trace between pads.

I'll be receiving my grayhill switches to build me a few more of the 500 series units. The switch's are back in stock at onlinecomponets. If there is interest in the 500 unit I can make another run of boards if y'all want to build some. I ordered a bunch of sifam SB151 double wing collet knobs I can bundle with the boards to fit the switches. Just send me a DM if interested. If there's potential I'll start a BM thread.

very nice kit!!
are you using the upper empty FR4 board to shield the module, and 2 frontpanels to obtain 3mm thickness?

best

looking good, I know someone who would be interested in this. Feel like this would also be a great project where partial SMD assembly could be done for the resistors and put it into a really good spot budget-wise.

Or maybe some sort of dual-footprint option where someone could build your "card" version with pots on the 500 series PCB and omit the stepped switch scheme? Kinda like how CAPI has that option for a stepped gain switch vs potentiometer on their preamps?

I've also been doing a similar sort of thing with my PCB "front panels" for 500 series projects with great results lol

I got some pcb's printed up of the filter section from forthmonkey's 32c project some years back. I stuffed the boards, but have yet to fire it up.

I like your design though, especially the rack version (as much as I love the 500-series I feel like only incorporating the filters is slightly real estate hungry). Is it very similar to the Harrison Ford filter design that was active some years back?

I'd love to see someone incorporate the filters together with the eq-bands, as in the Great River 500-eq. Now that's a lot of features per square (c)m^2!
