Hi all

I try to find a substitution for a 3 deck/row with 4 position that switch in a manner I may call continuous make and continuous break.
Various search return nothing, there is probably a name for this type of switching that I don't know ?

The logic is simple, each step you make a new connection will add, without breaking all previous ones, and one deck the opposite...
I can substitute with relay logic (already draw) but like to find mechanical rotary switch if possible

think that’s an 11 position switch?
Blore Edwards will have something. You can buy the wafers and build up what u need.

edit: sorry, i didn’t understand the problem.
You could do it with two switches linked by an indexing cogs/cam. Essentially two 12 tooth cogs meshed together but file off all but one tooth on the ‘index’ cog. So it will index up the second switch every full rotation.

You "just" need a 12pole 4 position MBB type switch. :)
yes, with "cascading" pole... should work with 3 deck that have 3 pole/4pos
But I was hopping something simpler with an appropriate contact ring

But that's probably the direction I have to go if i don't want relay logic substitution
(work with 5 DPDT relay and single 3 pole 4 pos rotary)
