I just treated myself on a el cheapo ribbon microphone. After replacing the transformer it should work just fine (for me that is).
 
There's no 3.5mm jack on the 5th gen NT1. If you're planning to use some sort of USB C to 3.5mm adapter I have no idea how that would work going into a camera, or even if the mic will work on plug in power.
There might still be output signal on the XLR pins even when the USB-C plug is connected, so if you can find a socket (or two for at least two pins) small enough to fit into the male XLR pins when also the USB-C plug is plugged in you could route the output to a 3.5mm jack using a DIY cable. Also Rode might come with an adapter cable later.
