where to get 6 or 12 gang (deck) Pots??

I am looking for preferably 12 gang pots(for balanced) but 6 gang will do for a surround controller. i have stepped attenuators but would like to try pots and see what the difference in feel, sound, performance, ease or turning, etc etc.

not looking ffor opinions about how i should only use step attenuators or only pots, I'd just like to know where to find 6 or 12 gang pots with good specs. in quantities of 1 at a time (no minimum).

Simple 4-gang pots are hard enough to find in good quality..

Maybe an array of servo'ed motorpots could be an option for you?

i just missed an auction on ebay for a 6 gang ALPS 20K ( i am really looking for 10K though..) with a motor. and it was going for about £10.

not bad... but missed it....

hard to find more than 4 gangs.. yep. i know.. it seems that certain companies entertain the idea, but on crap pots. when it comes to audio grade pots the say 2 gang max. bastards.
and also not many companies are into the idea of a 1-off

How bloody hard is it to make a bigger sharft and shove a few more decks on there?? oh and maybe longer screws too (for those square type pots)


How to SPL do it. the have to have a 6 gang pot. they even say so on their website that it is a pot that is

i got one quote for about $400 for a 12 gang. Seems tempting. the place does really high end precision pots 0.1% tolerance between gangs with 1% tolerance in linearity. and very low ounce/inches.. 4-5 totalt for 12 gangs

but right now. i dont have the time (few weeks lead time) nor the money for that (will in the future though.. ) So i need a cheaper solution. 6 gang will do fine. especially if i can figure out how SPL made a 6 gang balanced for 6 speakers
