Next week, we'll receive the first PCB for build the First Tude Tube.

Prototype is finish.
No explosion when the first connection =D

Drask has designed a pcb of my "Rude Tube", a line level tube distortion box with quite a lot of features (bias control, triode/pentode/various peak filter modes, etc.). For details see the link in the 1st post. There you´ll get an impression of the beast including audio demos and schematic . My prototype, basicly a REDD 47 with inserted distortion tube, works perfectly. The pcb has not been tested so far. There might be a few minor issues. So don´t expect a perfectly designed pcb. The pcbs provide relay based true bypass, a seperate PSU pcb with B+, heater and relay power supply, various footprints for different component size etc. Drask is going to stuff the pcbs as soon as they arrive.

This project took me about 8 month to develop, lots of time went in research, reading and trail and error. I´ve learned very much just by trying and was supported by very kind people here in the forum and in our German forum. There won´t be any kits or picture tutorials, maybe a BOM but that´s it. There shurely will be a kind of support, but I don´t feel myself responsible for everything.  It´s a non commercial, non profit oriented project which I just wanted to share with you, nothing more, nothing less. Drask and me had a very interesting correspondence via email and discussed a lot of details, checked for errors and improvements. Zayance made the prototype pcbs for us. We have not decided yet, if we do a small production by a pcb service or just share the files for self etching. Zayance service is excellent and affordable, so he is the man to go when you can´t or don´t want to etch your own pcb.

Drask has got my permission to publish his pcb design. It´s his business to organize this. I warned him, but he won´t listen to me.  ;D

A stereo set consists of 2 mainboard pcb and 1 psu pcb

2 x stereo sets

I'd like to try a stereo set.
If you haven't ordered pcbs, It might be cool to add a relay switch for line / mic input... in which case it could be built with a mic Tx  input as well as the line?  I don't think I ever saw mention of that in your development thread - but it might be a nice option.
Anyway great development of awesome project!

the pcb protos have aleready been fabbed. Line/Mic switch is not provided, but can be done off board.
