Audinate / Dante network protocol DIY opportunity: interesting?

Sorry to bring up an old thread.

How has this developed over the past year? I'd be very interested in incorporating AoIP (Specifically Dante or Ravenna) into some of my DIY projects. Does anyone know if there is an open protocol or development kits for these?

It seems that it's relatively easy to join, though I'm not sure about readymade kits for implementation.

Let's start with basics. Is this a DHCP setup, or one with static ip's?

If it is DHCP, check your lease times on all devices.
