How are the countries in knockdown dealing with food and supply distribution?
I went today to the local supermarket, here in Portugal (we are in lockdown since Friday)
You have a queue at the door, everyone keeps at least 1 meter distance to the other person.
Only 20 people enter at each time. Security was at the door very calmly calling new people, when others leave.
I waited 15 to 20 minutes in the queue.
Inside there was everything, all the products, just like a normal day. There was no empty shells, all shells were full.
This was in the middle of the afternoon.
Everything was really calm, organized and peaceful.
I think people probably went crazy in the beginning and everyone was getting everything to fill their stocks and more.
And now probably most everyone has all the cans they need for the "end of the world", and people are just buying what they need for the everyday life.
Hope it keeps this way, although here in Portugal strong measures were applied really early on, lockdown started when there were only 78 confirmed cases.
Most countries are applying measures when the situation is already out of control.
