Tried this acrylic thing for the first time, satisfied with the result.
Video is missing the transformer, just for reference.
Thanks! No idea about the kind, just bought it at local hardware store. I used 120 meg grid resistor, and high pass measures as calculated, so i guess it's well above that. The tube is 6s26b-k.Absolutely fantastic ...
What kind of acrylic did you use ? I don't know exactly, but I think that I read somewhere, that not all are suitable because of poor high ohm isolation...
Is this 5703 tube ?

Nice, you've got one more subscriber.
Looking forward for more of your content in the future
Looks very good. If you don't mind some questions, what kind of turrets did you use? And what polarization scheme did you go with?Tried this acrylic thing for the first time, satisfied with the result.
I used these, removed the plastic and snuggled them in the holes i made. I cut the upper part in half.Looks very good. If you don't mind some questions, what kind of turrets did you use? And what polarization scheme did you go with?
GreatMy friend and I managed to fit Poctop’s PCBs in these great but short bodies. Thanks to Herbert and his skills we were able to.
Beesneez capsules sound so authentic and I bought a Job lot of NOS GE 5 star. Needless to say they sound superb. Thanks for all the guidance! View attachment 118088

What outpout cap type did you end up using?
I am just now measuring two of the Beesneez CK12. One is so beyond spec that i don't even want to comment on it. The other is at least 3db brighter than brightest Tim C's capsule. They are also deep dish (bright) variant. Unless you have some kind of special handshake, or special dark sounding capsules ordered from Beesneez i really have no idea what you are raving about. How could they be accurate if they are aluminum? The most accurate capsules I can find are the aluminium Beesneez ones. I chose them over vintage AKG ones they are that good.
I've always found my BN CK12 in a 251 to be too bright. I finally have a room where i can get a half decent measurement and see that it measures incredibly bright. I have two C12s with TC CT12s and the BN CK12 is in my 251. I put the BN CK12 in one C12 and compared the two. The BN CK12 was waaaaaay brighter, in an unflattering way.I am just now measuring two of the Beesneez CK12. One is so beyond spec that i don't even want to comment on it. I'm not interested in bashing BN, i've had a few of their products on my bench and i was not impressed. Fiddling with their CK12 for the first time. And i can promise, these are not superior to others available in any way. I could go balistic and share the images and measurements, but as i said i'm not into starting a war right now. They are a family business, people seem to be satisfied with their products, so i don't really care.I've always found my BN CK12 in a 251 to be too bright. The 251 sounds great, but too bright for my use. I always thought I would find something that it works on, but only on the occasional guitar the 251 would be selected. I emailed Ben and Veronica but no response yet. I'm working on plate filter to make it more to my taste, but that introduces a lot of phase shift.
Weird, I have never heard a TC capsule I don’t find too bright. I’ve heard Haun’s that are dark but take eq well and sound fairly authentic. Tim’s just sound glassy to me.I am just now measuring two of the Beesneez CK12. One is so beyond spec that i don't even want to comment on it.
