I received this from Kevin with Link yesterday:
Hello Niels since it's a order over 1000 Euro I need to apply for local tax office. They have their reserved time on Monday morning. Till then I'll gonna pack the order. Best Kevin
I know we are all excited to get out parts!
As soon as the order from link arrives I will pack everything and contact each of you with the ship to you cost, plus/minus any amount you over / underpaid.

I received this from Kevin at Link:
they picked up today 1ZE175290409702171 UPS
Please check if they charge any customs or taxes.
Aluminium Panels could have added customs or taxes.
That is absolutely normal
Best Kevin

Tracking shows the shipment is currently in EU Customs
Hopefully if there are any additional fees applied on it's way I will receive the bill in time to distribute amongst us all!

PLEASE READ!
The shipment from Link has arrived.
There are some issues, primarily the fact that the holes punched in the bracket / sled are mirrored from the correct location (see pic).
Kevin is working on getting correct replacements made, I told him that powder coating is not required on these so that may sped things up. It is actually better as bare metal as this is the only side shielding, and the 500 series format relies on it. The spec requires pin #1 connect to a mounting hole that electrically contacts the sled for this purpose.

It is possible (and not difficult) to place the PCB on this part, mark the correct hole location, and drill or punch the holes. This is thin aluminum.
If anyone would prefer to do this rather than wait for replacements (and possibly swap out later) I can go ahead and send what I have.
It will require separate shipping if you want to do this then get the replacement when they arrive.
Let me know by replying to the ongoing PM message where you were contacted for payment.

Thanks for the update, Niels.

The original files that I provided are correct, so I guess Kevin's manufacturer must have gotten the orientation mixed up or something. Glad he is able to get corrected parts made.

Regarding the bracket you mentioned, that is the Keystone part listed in the BOM, and is readily available from all the usual suspects, so it should be easy to obtain.

Totally fine with waiting for the replacement sled here. Is it possible to get the mis-punched ones shipped with the whole thing? Might not be bad to have a pair of spares on hand for future projects…

Sure thing!
If no one else wants any you can have them all
Just remind me when you get the shipping request.
I am waiting on word from Kevin about progress on the replacement sleds...

Just heard from Kevin, sleds should be done early next week.
Included in the first shipment were 19 free PCBs for his active DI to give out.
Let me know if you want one!
I did receive a customs bill from UPS, it works out to about $1.50 per set.
I will add that in with the total remainder due when shipping happens.

Good news!
Kevin from Link has notified me that the replacement metal brackets (sleds) have shipped.
Whew!
Unfortunately, despite my request that the metal house NOT powder coat them, in the interest of time & $ and the fact that it actually causes a problem, they did it anyways.
I hope Kevin did not have to pay for that, as none of this was his fault, he just didn't notice the problem before the first shipping.
If you want the sled to shield properly you will have to remove the powder coating at the top transformer hole where the pin 1 connection to the sled takes place

I’d take extra flipped metal work and di boards if any are available as well.
