Hi guys, I was able to buy 4x Haufe ST 1671/1 at a reasonable price, which I would like to present here briefly. I think they come from an old ELA system from Klein&Hummel and were probably part of an FET-based microphone preamplifier. Does anyone know more?

Here is the data sheet:

and the transformers

As we can see, the transformers are not the biggest and therefore not particularly level-resistant, but this is not really required for a PA system in a sports hall/town hall for voice announcements.

So these transformers would not be my first choice for a studio microphone preamplifier, but in a tube/fet microphone as a 10:1 step down output transformer it's a different story! Here the small size becomes an advantage (think SDC) with quite appealing other technical data, which I will also measure when the time comes.

Here a size comparison with the popular Neutrik NTE 10/3:

and a few more caliper photos of the transformers for size reference:

Ah so you bought them. Was also interested but hesitated because I already have way too many transformers waiting in my drawer 😅
Eager to see, what you‘ll do with them.
