Okay also just for the sake of helping my understanding (even tho I'm omitting it from my build), the logic behind the mute switch is probably just breaking all paths of signal -> output transformer right? Essentially so that signal is passing through the entire circuit up until that point at which point its just hitting a wall?

Yes, in that Capi schematic the mute switch shorts both wires of the transformer to ground, and leaves the negative side of C10 floating.

Cool that's making sense thank you! Love this community, 2 weeks ago I couldnt look at a schematic and see what was happening at all. Getting there slowly but surely!
