I´m going to use the 51x in my liverack. This will save a lot of rackspace. The first mixbuzz will reside on the drumbus and the second one on the keyboardbus. The band I work for has a lot of loop and sample based sounds coming from the keyboard submixer so something like the mixbuzz will be perfect.

Yes, 51x rack for life sound really great solution. Space-saving, easy to service, flexible.

And then I´m waiting desperately for a 51x based 1176stylee comp ;-) to replace the G1176 in my rack.

The first mixbuzz still doesn´t work. I destroyed the last ribbonwire connector by accident. Waiting for parts, as usual. But I´ll report back as soon as I know more.

Bad news. OK than, let us know about Mixbuzz500 when it healthy, sound, etc!

Well, MixBuzz1 proto's were on my shelve for about 3-4 weeks;
Now, I do what I promised.

To get started with MixBuzz1, we have to get minimum 50 PCB orders.
Quality like always, 2Oz, probably I will go for immersion gold,
E-test-of course, tab routing, etc.

50 PCB orders: PCB (include powers supply, meter driver, vca boards):
if we get to 50 orders, USD60 incl. shipping, and USD48 incl. shipping for 100 PCB orders.
Shipping-regular registered airmail. Takes 7-28 days worldwide usually, has basic tracking,
no lost packages for last 3 years. For EMS, which is almost cool as Fedex economy,
but cheaper, add some bucks depending on your location.

Basic parts kit about USD200, and kit with all add-ons about USD280.
Kits shipped with PCB's, so, no additional shipping costs.
Have to get some answers for complete pricing.

To issue the kits, we have to get minimum 30 orders.
Both PCB's and kits (sorry) have to be pre-ordered.

The thing like you did wasn't common here, but...always there's a place for new.
Thread appearance: check the timing.
More options for building the GSSL or MixBuzz1 or ShadowBus: great!

I have respect to guy who did Pico Compressor, and, left this idea.

Another thing. Now, I need about 20 500-series racks for Israeli use.
Whole world using 500 format. Here, the prob is import taxes and shipping,
and this format did not found the use because of high rack's cost.
I can manufacture the racks here and get closer to what I want to see.
First thing what I did I asked 51X guys if I can sell these racks locally.
I NEVER going to sell them out of Israel even in case it has some affort.

after making some layouts, I got decision to make universal full-featured PCB.
Then, I posted thread named "a question to GSSL builders".

More choice for forum members: fine. That's all I have to say.

lol, I am relaxed, completely.  For some reason you think you own the SSL design.  People will try both, people will like both, YOU tried to make it into a competition.  You act as though I'm trying to somehow stop your efforts.  I have never promoted or mentioned my design in any of your threads, not once, ever.  Everyone can check that for themselves.  You've done nothing but for 4 months now.  I am posting in your thread now not because of your design, but because of your still continuing childish cheapshots at me.

But by you logic, you should never have created the mixbuzz out of respect for Gyraf.  So you are a hypocrite.  And also, LUKAS did his new version of the GSSL before both you and I.  And I don't see him acting towards either of us the way you have acted towards me.  In fact, he and I are friends.  It's a shame that I can't say the same for us.  And the fact of the matter is I discussed with him my plans for a new design weeks before your 1U thread ever went up.  I hate to throw his name in the mix, but it is the truth.  The email took place on April 6th, almost 3 weeks before your 1U proposal thread.  I still have it in my outbox.

Anyways, this is the last I will talk about this.  I swore I wouldn't disrespect your threads as you have done to mine, but enough is enough, and you can only push me so far.  Good luck with your project.  I actually mean that.

We exchanged some PM's before doing MixBuzz1.

Some things in your design came direct from Mixbuss500 thread.
I have a tones of respect to Yakob, BUT Mixbuzz500/ Mixbuzz1 derived from
console's manual, some thoughts looking to Haifa panorama from the mountain
at the night and smoking the pipe; I added sidechain filters
from schematic I saw here; and for last....5? 8? years
there's no forum member here I can't say he/she is my friend.
