does any one remember those PCB's
logic controlled colored push button/Relay PCB kits
i think PCB's /kit had pre programmed PIC, but may be mistaken...

how much Buttons are you targeting?

I have made a arduino controlled board with 16 Buttons (and leds...). 4 boards can be used together, for a total of 64 controls. The board is not universal, but I might do a respin at one time.... the board switches control voltages for fet swiching, but works Ok for low power reed relays.
