Any knob used on a N*eve preamp wont make it sound better..

yes it does. Lowers the noise floor, better S/N ratio, about 35db more of gain AND it improves the skill of the talent you are recording.
:p

FWIW: A good quality aluminum knob is about 6 bucks anyways...

That being said... I'll take eight pink, clear skirted Marconi's for my original Neve 1073 modules... the strange ones with an actual EQ on them.

ZING!  Actually, I'd take a few in a wacky color like pink or lime green.  For something that's not even trying to be Neve.

I need these knobs!

I don't know whether I really have any skills to contribute with these sort of things but if there is any assistance I can provide to turn this into a reality, please tell me what I can do to help.

Thanks Skylar and everybody else involved.

I didn't really have plans to organize this myself.

As I stated in the first post, I tried contacting a few US manufacturers about it and got the cold shoulder.

onlymeeee got the quotes for the wing knob from some place in the UK.

I think now it's just a matter someone stepping up and organizing the purchase.

I think I will do some additional renders of the knobs in various colours; that would be interesting to see.

I think Neve went with the right colour.
Although I personally love the white...  Just don't think it would match the 'non-angelic' Neve sound
Devilish red- much more like it!

when that factory is in the uk, then someone of the uk should do it! hello anyone?
if that fails, i can do it from here (switzerland)!

regards marco
