I don't that this is known or not,  i've found this pdf yesterday.
It looks pretty well and it's complete guide with pcb projects.
I have no time and cash to play with that for now, but maybe someone would be interest ;)

I have a 535 (dual 10 band graphic) that was gifted to me some years back, still gets pretty frequent use. I wouldn't expect this family of UREI EQ's to be sought after like some of the more celebrated circuits out there, but they are pretty useful. Maybe not the same amount of character or sheen that you can get elsewhere, but it does have a nice grittiness to it, I enjoy it on guitars or synths among other things. May be a worthwhile project for somebody. Just felt like adding that.

These units are notorious for having crappy faders that stick like crazy, I've been planning for years now to replace them with some nicer alps models in mine. One of many projects sitting idle right now. This wouldn't be a problem obviously for those DIYing a unit. But for anyone who owns an original, there is a good video on youtube showing how to mount replacement faders, pretty smart how he does it.

I have 537, but unfortunately for repair. I have constant buzz on the output. It generating something at the output.
So i can't tell how it sounds. Faders are really crappy:) The same where in old tapco eq's.
I'm using very often Klark Teknik DN27A, which sounds pretty well on drums, bass and guitars. It's added little charm into the tracks. Probably transformers:)

Also The DN27a has a seperate inductor on each band (LCR).  This maybe is the nicest sounding graphic ever made.
It's full of charm !! :) :)

I used to own a 546 eq, nothing to really be excited about but it did do the job. for being called a mastering eq, it didn't have any stepped pots or knobs with detents. to be honest it's best function was to be able to switch it into mono mode where you had 8 bands of eq vs 4.
