Hey Guys,
We just got our regulator card back from Neil McCrombie.
All is now good with that.
as you can see from the photo. having hooked everything up, placing a 0db test tone across all the channels gives hugely varying results across the meters.
We Have gone ahead and purchased a load of 22uf axial electrolytics (Vishay's) to replace the caps in each meterbank and also a batch of CA3140E's
Zeke Lund was very helpful a few months back advising me that this would iron out and discrepancies between levels.
Some of the modules don't do anything and some of them look crazy, like rapidly flashing, even when no signal is occurring at all, and some of them also just stay permanently on full (like the last one on the right in the picture) again, with no signal present. The rest seem to respond to signal just fine, but are just varying levels.
With this information can anyone make any suggestions as to what issues may be that I should look at? we dont have any service data for these so we are kinda in teh dark.
cheers again
Brad
