So Jeff .. what's your secret with shipping companies??  Yours have arrived quicker than UK ones despite the UKs leaving 5 mins earlier!

Glad to see they arrived safe. The first few I got made originally about a year ago were glossy, but then decided I prefered matt too!

"i was gonna ask as there was a post earlier someone received by 28th!?, i know i got in early with payment too when you announced, but thought it may be because of my location within UK. no sign yet but i dont have the parts yet anyway either "
Ah the 28th one, was hand delivered by myself... just 15mins walk away from me!

In regard to the relay, I think they also do them in other places incl. farnell which is ok shipping I think as it's UK    (I think!)

The sockets are firstly for easy removal of the transistors.. (I guess you could do without but they are handy. If you find some 9pins in stock somewhere...you could use a 9pin for the 3 transistors for each of the first 2 gain stages. Or a 6 and a 3,  or a 4 and 5 ...etc etc. (whatever you can get your hands on basically!)

And the 2nd use is for the DC-DC converter (more crucial.. as the DC-DC converter needs extra height to make definate sure that it won't short on pads underneath it... Again I guess you could do with out as long as you raise it up slightly.... failing that of course... get the ones that Jeff pointed to...or a different number of pins version is fine too (you'll be breaking them off into individuals anyway)

I duuno. Just lucky I guess.

Forgot to mention, I also got a nice chuckle out of the extra special wrap you used for the faceplates! Gotta protect them with 2-ply!  :D

Cheers, Jeff

Ah that was a contentious issue here!  The women definately have a different view on what material is suitable!
However my attitude was.. if you wouldn't put it up your nose... then it's not soft enough for the panels!  So I think it's perfect !
Satisfies my paranoia for staying scratch proof!

Maybe the air-bomb was an excuse and the police are really looking for your NV73. Better hide it!  ;D

The police force do have a history with Neves I hear so better be safe than sorry Volker! Turn those lights off!  http://www.gearslutz.com/board/1964176-post5.html

David,

I just got my package today! And it looks incredible! However I am missing two switches. Can you share the part number of the C&K switch, so I can order them with my mouser order?

Thanks again.

Not sure how I missed that...  Luckily, they're in stock again at Mouser 611-PN22LENA03QE.  Of course, I can send you 2 no problems.. anyway I can make up for my mistake.. !

Thanks David,

It's just alright. I'd hate to imagine how much shipping would cost to get those little things over the water and across a continent. I just ordered them with my order. Glad I caught it in time. Again great work!

thanks,
Brice

Hi Brice, well again, I'm sorry for the inconvenience
(shouldn't there be some sort of 'electronic pint voucher' in existence that you can send for use at your local pub for situations like this?!)

The GR-03-001 switches are now all inside the NV73 partial kits (part number AML-17-016);
http://www.audiomaintenance.com/acatalog/kits.html

... because there are not many left and they are now a 14 week lead time...

Well, there is 2 less of everything now Colin. Can a customer tell when they are out of stock? Just wondering if I got some current stock or will have to wait until Christmas for them.  ???  Heck, 14 weeks is into the midst of January...

I mostly hope I beat Volker to ordering!  :D :D :D ;D ;)

Thanks!

Cheers, Jeff

mhm, I will have to wait until January.
I don't need the kit (I have got already all transformers from long ago group buys).

the switch is very interesting for a V476-51X prototype too, but I won't get other lead times than Collin ...

As a general rule when items are not in stock they are removed from the store..... you will see that as of this morning the NV73 kit (and ez1290 kit) have been removed.
[Jeff took the last 2 kits]

The last batch of switches took 13 weeks and 5 days to arrive .... and on that basis the next batch would be expected arround the 16th November..... however the previous batch actually took 2 weeks in transit (UPS express) because they had lost the commercial invoices .... so maybe they will come towards the beginning of November ?

I saw what Colin posted the other day about his stock. I see it happen with my store all the time so I knew I had to act fast. Kinda like me being out of t-pads.  ???
