@TheGuitarist :  Ah, not too long till payday hey. I'll keep my eye out for any other vendors for the dc-dc converter.  It looks like most places used to stock it (mouser, farnell (newark etc) and they all have it listed as out of stock or obsolete)

Remember Peter, this happens with my site for you too. I think it has something to do with the ship to address not matching the country where your PP account was originally registered. Maybe...I could be wrong though.
