For a meter even the cheapest lousy capacitor is not likely to impact your sound quality.
Sometimes if connecting an unbuffered meter to a high source impedance (like 600 ohms), some distortion can reflect back into the source output, say when the meter input over loads or presents any nonlinear load.
I wouldn't over think this, it's just a meter.
