We was say -

"In fact everyone can ask, what will want? "

"We the small manufacturer, without world popularity (meanwhile) - we was DIY ` s. 3 years ago to us began to order devices big and costly studios all more often."[/quote]

Ok, I see your point. I understand that you started with DIY.

Everything should be ok if you follow the obvious rules ; -Do not make multiple posts / spam in different places (there is no reason) -Be polite and share information and discuss -Put all commercial topics in "The Black Market".

Everyone is here to help each other. You need to contribute. You can not just ask people questions to help your business make money.

I hope to hear more (relevant) posts from you in the future - you obviously know a lot about audio electronics.

yea, i think alot of us use the knowledge gained from this place for commercial purposes, but generally it is indirectly.

Frankly I think it's cool that manufacturers are here, (Hell Jacob is a manufacturer, and I think that people tend to forget that from time to time, I know I do) but no one wants to come up with ideas and then see them in someone elses commercial product.

Now, to answer your question Hand Crafted, I don't EQ very much when tracking. I find low and high shelf is enough for most of what I do. I tend to adjust or switch mics rather than EQ as much as possible.

I think we should lay off Handcrafted....yeah he's a manufacturer, but at least he admits it, and doesn't use shill tactics to extract information from the boardmembers.

There are probably other forums (like Gearslutz) where you can better solicit users about what general features they prefer in a peice of hardware. Here is a better spot to debate one topology vs another....the finer details. Of course, seeing as you are a manufacturer people will expect a little "give and take". That's to say they'll expect to hear a little bit about what brought you to some of the decisions that you made in the production of your own gear, before they reveal all their secrets.....nobody wants to see somebody else profit from their hard work (that goes for both the manufactueres and the hardcore DIY'ers).

Now, back to the question. Personally I can't stand Voice processors and Channel strips. I generally find they are like a swiss army knife....yeah all the tools are in there, but they are awkward to use, and you certainly wouldn't want to build a house with them! Give me a seperate preamp, EQ and compressor any day of the week.

I'm with Kris
... on every point I think

I want to see manufactures here generally ... as company names or as individuals from companies

we have too many precedence that support this
Joe, John H, Fred ... even Jakob has a pro line
and no-one wants Jakob not to be able to answer questions or float ideas that may be part of his pro line
OR
end up with something new for us to DIY

same goes for Joe and the others
Andrew (Purple) offered old stock to us as DIY fodder

somehow I don't expect these guys to be floating genuine new ideas here at the forum
something tells me they don't need our help
if any of this were to happpen ... I think it would be in very private emails
:green:

Like Kris I think Voice processors and Channel strips are crap.
Have many specific units and mix and match as you like.

The Drawing board is a cool place for Topology Stuff and you will get intelligent answers and opinions

AS for Product Balance ... I think the Slutz are better positioned as they are your likely buyers
Many of us here are just not going to buy anything from you.
no dis-respect intended

We DIY ...

I do buy JLM stuff ... but then everyone knows I'm Australian and I'll buy Australian ... funny I don't have any Sebatron ??
Joe is a good freind AND a Freind of Group DIY.
so are others ... !

I have GreatRiver ... Dan K is also a freind.

Yeah I think this is more of a misunderstanding than anything.

I'm all for audio designers and manufacturers on these boards :thumb:

Joe, John H, Fred and Jakob have provided a wealth of ideas, info and input on various DIY projects and designs...

HCL has very little posts here, most of which do appear to be spam.

Perhaps it is the language barrier but I think such questions as this would be much better suited on GS or the likes so potential end users can give there opinions on what topogy EQ they'd like in a voice strip...

People are already giving him an idea what they'd like to have in a channel strip... who better to ask then possible buyers?

http://gearslutz.com/board/showthread.php3?t=37823

Perhaps such market research will spawn more direct questions on particular aspects of EQ design...

I was thinking tonight, one other thing to consider is we are such a bunch of tweaker heads here, its possible a lot of opinions like "what would you like in a channel strip" type stuff could be totally lost on us in regards to the bigger picture. It would be awesome for instance, to build a pultec but use a really hot rodded FET amplifier instead of a tube amplifier. I think that would be aweosme, Im sure other people here would love it but I dont know how easy it would be to sell. Lots of manufacturers seem to be making a pultec, if people werent buying them I doubt they'd be making them. People on gear slutz type boards actually buy things, something tells me less people would be excited about some new fet thing vs. the old recycled idea. The trend I see is that the majority of products people get excited about generally are recycled designs, not new things.
