The amount of ret-conning going on here is astonishing.
If you look at the journal papers summarizing vaccine effectiveness against transmission, you see a few common themes (at least for mRNA vaccines):
1) Against the original COVID-19, the vaccine was approximately 90% effective against transmission (e.g., the index patient), and over 95% effective against development of infection (the contact)
2) Against the Alpha variant COVID-19, the vaccine was approximately 70% effective against transmission, and over 85% effective against development of infection
3) Against the Delta variant COVID-19, the vaccine was approximately 50% effective against transmission, and over 80% effective against development of infection
An example of such data.
There is (far) less data for Omicron, however studies suggest a 20-30% reduction in transmission from a vaccinated individual, and about 40% effective against development of infection, however these studies are a mix of the previous vaccine and the newer bivalent vaccine. A newer study on the new boosters shows better results (see here). This study implies bivalent is approximately 35% better in the above two metrics for the bivalent booster.
Fauci went on air a gazillion times over the past three years, so I don't even know which "Fauci lie" is being referred to (it's another Rorschach test for the right).
