Moreover, Bword ADA8000 is well discussed in GDIY forums and is regarded by some as a pretty good and simple implementation of an ADA, with realtively no need of audio upgrades. a rare case of Bword very good bang for the bucks. Many point out that their power supply is flaky though,

It looks like it works both for recording AND playback (USB <-> ADAT), which is good news!
They state: "Multichannel (up to 8) @ 48/44.1kHz for ADAT Transmit/Receive"
and the pdf-files confirm this.
