It also has a paranoia about communism and socialism fed by the vested interests of the capitalist elite (swamp?).

You're right about that, Dave!

Just gotta have it said Trump is a dirty little mf for the way he's neglecting puerto rico after the hurricane. What a miserable little sh*t.

Ok.

I just saw two journalists argue about potus constant made up facts. The one who was 'defending' him essentially said that the problem wasn't that he said things that wasn't true, but that the answers weren't what the reporters wanted.

So, in a sense it's not a big deal if the president repeatedly lies, instead we need to focus on the media asking leading questions. As if those two are mutually exclusive. It's entirely possible to not answer a leading question with the expected answer AND at the same time NOT say something that is false.

Reminds me of some people...

Things aren't looking good when the truth is meaningless.

That is deep and true sh*t, right there.

And for all of those who thought Hillary was insensitive to the relatives of fallen soldiers - do we hear anything now when potus is politicizing it for his own gain?

Let's be honest: this whole solider phone call thing is FAKE NEWS distracting us from the real stories:  that James Comey was a secret Clinton apologist working in the deep state to get her elected; that Obama not only didn't call the widows of fallen soldiers, he also on several occasions tried to ask them out on dates; that the investigations into Benghazi should be re-opened because, unlike Trump, Clinton knew the attack was going to happen and purposefully let those soldiers die; and we need to find Hillary's missing emails from her private server because they prove the Clinton foundation was funneling money to fake the entire Russian-collusion-in-the-US-election story...

Yes, Facebook has indeed become completely insufferable.

I am shocked....

I remember when we could ignore the Kabuki theater in DC between elections, now it is constant.

And since when do politicians speak truth?  The ACA and Benghazi and ISIS as JV team, are shining examples of government bending the truth to promote their political agendas.

Just like I said ignore President Obama's words and look at what he does, ignore President Trumps tweets and look at what his cabinet does. I do not know if Trump is intentionally keeping media chasing his every utterance (like a kitten chasing a laser pointer), but he is unlikely to stop since it has worked for him so far.

I was kind of enjoying a break but as expected the intensity in the echo chamber has gone up without any damping (not my job mon).

@ Script  there is general consensus that the "bump stock" accessory should be regulated just like automatic weapons already are... No serious gun guy embraces bump stocks (they make an automatic weapon even less accurate), but the miscreant in vegas found the one possible application for them where aim accuracy didn't much matter.

@ Tands PR was (is) a basket case before it was hit by two hurricanes. Even if you magically restored all their crumbling infrastructure you wouldn't fix the crushing debt burden. If you magic slate the debt away without fixing the mismanagement that allowed it to build up it would just be a temporary postponement until it repeated.  I already contributed $50 to a charity targeted for PR relief, which is probably not enough, but they have larger problems that storm damage.

Interesting that the fake Russian Blacktivist account had 500,000 followers, even more than BLM. As if we need foreign governments stirring up the race pot. That is one price of having an open society but modern social media is ripe for manipulation and the sheeple (500k strong) are easily led.

Some politicians strike me as being far more truthful and consistent than others. Like Ron Paul and Bernie Sanders for example, to pick just a couple coming from the respective "fringes" of respective parties.

Notice how you smoothly and stealthily moved from "speak truth" to "bending the truth".

That's exactly the point "we" are making. Where someone like Hillary may have bent the truth or omitted information or answered a different question, your choice is a president that repeatedly lies. Not "bending the truth", lies.

And in fact, that lying by the president of the united states of America means so little to you that you'd vote for him again. You can't of course come up with any reason for why you'd do that based off of what he's promised, because, well, you know, he's a liar.

No, we see quite clearly what the cabinet does and that too is very well reported. It's a revolving door of "impressive" choices to the cabinet that soon get fired or leave by their own volition. We also see the impressive policies materialize... like the wall (not really though) and the travel ban (not really though) and tax reform (not really though) and repeal/replace health care (not really though)... I guess, it's not really getting all that much done that cabinet. Or are we missing something important?

JohnRoberts said:

Of course it works. His voters are "low information voters" to quote someone you know, and they don't care about the truth. The truth doesn't matter. It doesn't matter that the president brags about grabbing women by the pussy and advocates violence during his rallies. It doesn't matter that he flirts with white supremacists and call some of them very nice people. None of that matters to trump supporters. So 'yes', it works for him.

As far as getting his actual policies through congress etc I'm again at a loss; what are we missing?

JohnRoberts said:

Potus is doing that well all by himself. But then again, weren't we supposed to just ignore what people say?

Hahaha, nice one. Whats scary is this type of compartmentalization of events is exactly what people like to read and believe because its all wrapped up for them in a nice little box.  Doesn't matter if its true or false, only if it validates what you already think is true or false.

3 Nazis arrested for attempted murder for a shooting in Gainesville yesterday after Richard Spencer's talk.

It's credible. Maybe you can find a liberal outlet to tell you something different.  ;D

GAINESVILLE, Fla. — A man who fired a shot at anti-Nazi protesters following a speech at the University of Florida by a white nationalist has been charged with attempted murder, police in Gainesville said Friday. Two men who allegedly urged him to shoot face the same charge.

A Gainesville Police Department report released on Friday said that Tyler Tenbrink, 28; William Fears, 30; and his brother, 28-year-old Colton Fears, all from Texas, were arrested on attempted homicide charges following an appearance on campus by white nationalist Richard Spencer.

Hours before the shooting, all three men had spoken with the media in support of Spencer's speech and white nationalism.

The three were in a vehicle Thursday immediately after Spencer's speech and began making Nazi salutes and shouting Hitler chants at a group of people holding anti-Nazi signs near a bus stop, Gainesville Police Officer Ben Tobias said.

One person in the group of about six people struck the back window of the men's vehicle with a baton, police said.

Tenbrink, a convicted felon, showed a handgun after exiting the car while the Fears brothers encouraged him to shoot, police said.

"Colton Fears and William Fears were also yelling, 'Kill them' and 'Shoot them,'" the police report stated.

Has nothing to do with liberal vs conservative, and more to do with actual news outlet versus Twitter.
