Hi
I'll be building 2 of these and am currently scouting for the potentiometers.

Audio Maintenance doesn't seem to have the exact ones as shown in the docs/pics (they have a 10K one, but it seems to have 3 sections...the ones in the pics seem to have 2)

They have them at mouser but with a lead time of 18 weeks !!!

Wondering if these would be a suitable alternative? :

another possibilty:

The ones from audiomaintenance (the conductive plastic ones) are 2 gangs . the first "gang"you see in the pic ( closest from the shaft) is the center detent section. So they fit.
Laurent.

Hello,

Is this pot could work?
http://be.farnell.com/jsp/search/productdetail.jsp?sku=9357670

Is ther a cheaper alternative in euro zone?

Thanks,

Marc

interested to....
for now I have sfernice for the gain (from collin)  (with center dent) that are very good quality,
and OMEG (green ones from TAW)  for frequency because I don't want center dent on frequency pots,

the problem with omeg is they are cheap quality and in 3 years I had to change 4 times dual pots!

i didn't found alternative pots, so i'm very curious about these ones! :)

The model 51 you have linked to won't fit the pcb foot print (which is 5mm in both directions I believe). model 51 has 2.54 mm spacing side to side and about 7mm spacing front to back. Might not be a problem if the leads are long enough to bend, but from the datasheet there doesn't seem to be too much to work with.

If model 52 is available, this has slightly better lead spacing (5mm side to side, same as 51 front to back)

in fact in my case pots are wired so pin spacing dosen't matter but I need small shaft (arround 3 or 4 mm)  (i already have button)
any body seem to stock pots like that (exept AML wich have center dent)

I hope that for the next version of the PCB Audiox will think about a multi size system.
For now the cheapest quality pot seems to be the one from AML. (+/-150£ / 2 channel :( )

trying to source parts before i get the boards... will these pots work....

hi there! just got a nice stereo build of this project from a friend. is there a way to change the min/max gain to 4 maybe 5 or 6 db instead of this crazy 15 db?

still hunting down pots... will these bourns work?

Hey guys,

I bought parts for this quite some time ago and only now getting to it.  Seems Laura at TAW sent me enough pots for 4 channels, which I didn't need.  I'm confused though as to where the 2 dual gang pots per channel go?  There appears to be 6 single and 2 dual per channel.  Anyone?

Thanks!
