I got this email from Carnhill.

L10468 equivelant is VTB9045, L31267 is VTB9046 and L1173 I believe is VTB9056

They directed me to Audio Maintenence, they seem expensive. Anywhere cheaper?

There carnhill, what did you expect?

Toss in the US exchange rate, give up eating for a little iron.

I think I figured out around $700 for the iron for my 2 channels of 1084, if you right on models it's $475 + Exchange for the Carnhill Iron over about $100-140 if you do OEP.

Nah, don't buy single trannies there...There should be some kind of groupbuy. For example, from 10 pieces and up prices for the VTB9045 get reasonable...

1 £104.76
2-4 £68.66
5-9 £47.00
10-24 £39.78
25-49 £35.45
50-99 £34.00
100+ £33.28

Their 9045 (in singles) is £37.22! Good price.[/quote]

Very good price indeed!

AML is pretty fair on their prices.

Igor, which parts are needed for the PSU?
Or do you have a overlay, so we can figure it out for our self?

AMS removed the link to pdf manual

Igor , how you plan to declare value on PCB package? I plan to avoid customs...

afaik they cant read english and they are complete analphabets anyway :p
I think the free of charge region is anything below 45 USD.

Here's a work-in-progress BOM for the 33609 excluding the PSU. I used the Igor's .gif files from the first page of this thread for info, so there are some questions to be asnwered. I have yet to actually put in part numbers for state-side distributors, or reference the schematic for parts that have ? in them. If anyone wants to add to this have at it. I'll add more later...

33609 BOM

Cheers,

Josh

I'll give you a hand with stateside stuff this weekend.

Only problems I have is some of the Dim since I don't have a PCB in front of me to check.

Kevin

Thanks Kevin-

I hear ya on the dims. I figured I would reference the Farnell #s for package etc..

Added voltage source to simplify adjustment proc.

Regareding the heatsink: I buing them from
local electronics store. But think something like this will fit.
Preferred type is SK129.

Board can hold 4 types of "big" caps an 3 types of heatsink.

Updated preliminary BOM with Mouser Part numbers. Have yet to figure out caps or PSU parts for USA suppliers. I'm having trouble with the part numbers from Igor's BOM. For insatnce what does:

CPOL-EUE3.5-8

refer to in:

2 100ux50v CPOL-EUE3.5-8 C5, C7

I must be missing something...

Anyone?

Thanks,

Josh
