UPDATE:

We are closing the pre-orders for the second batch temporarily.
I have been told by our factory that they want to wait until the first batch is entirely done and we approve of all units before they start the second run.
The reasoning behind this is so that they will have a chance to improve their manufacturing processes if needed.
For instance, if there are a high number of rejects because of imperfections in the finish, they will be able to analyse and improve their finishing process for the next run so that they can decrease the reject rate.

So, the second batch is going to take longer to produce than previously anticipated.
This is why we have decided to close the pre-ordering temporarily.

As soon as we have a time-frame established for the second production run, I will post an announcement here, and we will re-open ordering on the EQU47.

I just got word from the factory that they will begin shipping to us the first week of September.
The plan is for us to start shipping to you the third week of September, but this could change depending on any difficulties the manufacturer encounters or any delays in shipping.

The factory reports that they are having problems with the finish on the body tube.
They're getting a higher percentage of rejects than they would like, so they're trying to find a solution.
This will result in some degree of delay; I am awaiting a reply with more specifics.

...just keeping everyone in the loop.

Appreciate the update.

Mmmm uuuuu aaaaa, I hope this isn't a major problem....   I was kinda feeling like the green light after the successful prototype was too good to be true....eeeerrrrr, but then was thinking I'm just too cautious and so I jumped in with all four feet.

This sounds kinda worrisome....      I hope you can keep them to the original specs and original high standards.   Thanks so much.

Last night I got a reply from the factory that they were able to improve their finishing process, so they're going to ship me a few production-line samples for approval.
They usually ship 2-day from China, so I should have these soon.

It's a hurdle, but we're leaping across or through it one way or another.
