If you buy two sets of FETs at once they will be closely match. Close enough for use in our link kit.

Hi mike,Hairball Audio said:Nothing yet. I'll ask Ed after I get back from my break on 08/05.Sylvain D. said:Any update on when we can expect EA-1166 availability...?
When Ed set out to offer the 1166, a couple of his goals were to create a transformer as true as possible to the original and one that would fit into a 1U enclosure.
When the 1166 was delivered it sounded awesome, but was a little thicker than anticipated. Ed's been looking at getting it a little thinner but retaining the specs. It's a time consuming process.

Any news about the new EA-1166 Tx fitting in 1U Ed was working on ? Since it's been over a year, can I assume it cant be done without messing with the original specs. And if so, any chance for a new batch of "original/thick" EA1166 ?
thanks
Thanks for asking mike, i'm sure i'm not the only one interested....btw I saw 3nity managed to fit the old EA1166 in a 1U : http://groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=50024.msg638876#msg638876Hairball Audio said:I'll ask!

Next week I'll have a complete rev A specific build guide like the D.

If you use the complete D guide to build the A, note that the Ratio, attack, and release component values are a little different and the calibration is a little different.
