Any update on when we can expect EA-1166 availability...?
Nothing yet.  I'll ask Ed after I get back from my break on 08/05.
When Ed set out to offer the 1166, a couple of his goals were to create a transformer as true as possible to the original and one that would fit into a 1U enclosure.
When the 1166 was delivered it sounded awesome, but was a little thicker than anticipated.  Ed's been looking at getting it a little thinner but retaining the specs.  It's a time consuming process.

Hi mike,
Any news about the new EA-1166 Tx fitting in 1U Ed was working on ?  Since it's been over a year, can I assume it cant be done without messing with the original specs. And if so, any chance for a new batch of "original/thick" EA1166 ?
thanks  :)

Hi Mike,
I receive my 1176 Blue stripe this week. Look very nice !
Do you have maybe a tutorial for the installation of all wires ?
Best :)

Here is the partial kit build guides:
http://hairballaudio.com/shop/fetguide.php

Next week I'll have a complete rev A specific build guide like the D.
http://www.hairballaudio.com/blog/d_assembly/revd/

If you use the complete D guide to build the A, note that the Ratio, attack, and release component values are a little different and the calibration is a little different.

Hi Mike,
I'm after some 8037 meters with led backlight (rather than 12v lamp) - you don't have these anymore ? Think it would be hard to convert lamp version to dual LED? Need these meters for a dual la2a. Cheers

Hi,

I could not find ALTRAN C-3837 transformer in your site ... Does this mean, that you won't have it in the stock any more ?

Regards.

Hi Mike,

Do you have a Rev A/D output transformer left for me? It's look that you're out of stock for long time.

Regards,

Simon

Hi Mike,

I noticed that mnats board sales page now redirect to Hairball. Mnats use to offer a small variable power supply PCBs in the past that was useful for many different projects where you needed to power 2 PCBs - i.e.  dual channels etc.

I checked on your site and noticed that you don't seem to stock the power supply PCB. Is this something that you will end up stocking, or has it been discontinued? I tried to contact mnats directly about this but his inbox is full.

Cheers
James

Just wanted to say how nice it is dealing with Mike at Hairball. I had purchased an enclosure from another forum member that didn't include the switch brackets. After inquiring whether they were available for purchase seperately, they were sent out at no charge, not even any shipping.
So, thanks Mike and I'm looking forward to a future rev. A build!
Gavin
