right now i have an slate ml 1 and audio technica at4040 wich i love the sound of im looking to replace the ml 1 with a DIY but im not sure what i should get i have little to no knoledge on electricals so i would just like to buy an already bult diy "clone"

i dont want anything too harsh like the 103 im looking for more of a c12 sound alike i was looking at the aventone and the nos12 but im sure there better diy mics then them.

who is a good seller or maker that i can order from

I'm afraid you might be chasing your tail. AT4040 has a lot of c12 character, i regret selling that one. Avantone is just rebranded Apex 460 for the most part, and has the capsule that defined the term "harsh". You have something like SubZero tube mic for 200-250€ which is basically the same thing as Avantone. Avantone is not based on any particular mic.

Maybe something k47 based? Since you are limited in electronic knowledge you might buy something like Alctron MC410, and swap the capsule for something like k47. There are many variants, at different budgets. You'll get a killer mic for peanuts! If you pick the right capsule.

To get any closer to C12 you have to pick or build a mic with TRUE CK12 CAPSULE!!! These are expensive. And don't go for any of the cheaper variants, they wont get you any closer than Slate ML1. That mic has in fact one of those inexpensive CK12  INSPIRED capsules.

Slate ML1 is great mic on it's own even without emulations. Emulations are useful no matter what many purists say. If you don't have to sell it, keep it.

Available cheap clones are not realy clones of anything, basically just marketing bs. True clones can be as expensive as the originals.
