Elon deciding he's not interested in hearing Lou's diatribe does not impact Lou's ability to voice his opinion freely, does it? We call it "freedom of speech" not "guarantee to be heard by anyone whether they like it or not." Is it anti-freedom of speech to walk away from someone who's opinions you find useless while you're out in the real world?

As for his plans for content moderation, he's got different plans than the previous "thought leaders" at Twitter. He's well aware that trying to implement his new plans (whatever they may be) using people who have some deep emotional investment in the old way is a loser. Lou just proved that.

Why don't we give Elon a few months to try to do what he wants before passing judgement on it?

Marketing flacks like Lou are what make the internet a crappy experience on par with scenes from the prescient film Idiocracy. Advertisers aren't the reason we have the first amendment, though they certainly benefit from it.

Sometimes the jokes are so clever that the audience doesn't get them...

The accidental jokes made by politicians during the silly campaign season aren't even grokked by the pols making them. ;)

Brand safety and suitability...🥱
Evilcorps- the wary victims of a mismanaged advertising platform!

Lou is doing damage control, possibly for the Ad council.

As several of us clearly explained, your sighting of "irony" is a mirage. Or you don't really understand what free speech is.
I think theres a broader point here that he agrees with freedom of speech until someone disagrees with him - the last few years are littered with examples of him attempting to silence people who disagreed with him, contradicted him or corrected him.

Perhaps I chose a bad example - yes, it's his right to ignore anyone who he doesn't like - even if that person was selected to advise him just the day before. It's not a hole in one to demonstrate my point, but the fact that none of you see even a hint of hypocrisy in his position is revealing.

What's interesting is how this whole musk / Twitter thing seems to split people pretty much down party lines. His supporters are willing to overlook his many flaws because they believe he'll ultimately do good. His detractors mostly see the thin skinned egotist, and believe that his flaws make him a dangerous person to be at the controls.

This reminds me of another divisive individual who's on the cusp of making a major reappearance 🤔
