Dear Volker, Cemal and Jeff

Gentlemen, you truly rock! - our rack is now assembled and is a beautifully engineered combination of PCB and metalwork, thank you! Two students are next to me assembling GAR2520 DOAs and Jeff has dispatched the trannys and metalwork. We are also racking up an original pair of API 312s and are looking forward to doing some comparisons.

Volker can we please order six of your new pcb adapters shown above?

Thanks again for all your hard work guys

Hi Paul,

thanks for the kind words.
DIY at University, I like this.
have been in Edinburgh, mhm - 22 years ago, school exchange ;D
I really should visit again.

for the PCB adapters contact Cemal, he should have some.
if he is out of stock let me know.

OK guys. Spreadsheet has been updated as of right now & I have 5 racks to package up. I will have them all packaged today. I may even get one or two of them out for UPS this afternoon. They come thru my biz park twice a day and I can set my watch by them (if I wore one!) Worse case, they will go at 9:00 tomorrow AM when they come thru again.

If you have paid, please check the spreadsheet to make sure your name is checked off. I don't want to miss anyone.  8)

Still a lot of open invoices out there...

Cheers!  :)
Jeff

Now when I get the second rack I'll be able to afford the space for some of your kits Jeff.. come to think about it I'm already rack short as it stands now :)

OK, so ya got a link to this magical spreadsheet? I must be blind and search challenged but I can't find it.

I put my name in the hat back in January for a US shipment, does JSteiger not have a spreadsheet anymore?

no spreadsheet, no reserve list, be here when it is available again :)

Thanks to Cemal and other guys at DIY51X!

I got my rack yesterday and it looks really good.
I think it should be a "peace of cake" to put it togeteher even for me. ;)

I wonder if there is any partslist for the PSU availible?

First now I will put the rack together, then I will be back.

Many thanks again.

Gerhard/ Sweden

The partslist is included in the "components" document linked to in the first post of this thread:http://www.groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=36874.0

Make sure you also have the connectors that go between the PSU and the rack, several options are being discussed in the above thread.

Also want to take this opportunity to thank the holy trinity of the 51x alliance, especially Volker who was extremely helpful. Got it all up and running now and a few extra slots to fill....  ;D

For those who are interested, I will have a parts package and a connector package available for the psu.

Volker, can you drop me an e-mail so I can send you the part number in case your interested in carrying them in the future.

for the moment we decided to go with, and provide the 7pin Neutriks in the future.
this makes most sense for us.

Just one thing that i recognised while i'm building this one, all the Neutrik XLR plugs are all tapped  , i know i may sound stupid, but the ones i've ordered for the PGA2500 project i'm building had to be tapped, so my question is, special order or no? Cause i'll like to know the ref or the letter next to the ref that makes them tapped, so next time i'll get that if the price is not too high. Thanks a lot.

PS: Yes i tought i had to tap them by hand with the tool  ::), but it's ok, or i tought the screws were self tapping ones but i would have tapped them anyway if that was the case....

not really a special order, but it looks like Neutrik only build them on order - thus the delivery time we have on them.
we use:
NC3FBV1-M25
and
NC3MBV-M25

would have been cheaper with the A series, but in DIY we never know how many times they get screwed and unscrewed.
I feel safer with this more expensive but "metal instead of plastic" way.

I'm already dreaming about all the projects this rack would lead to.
I can't wait to you get this in stock again...  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Cheers
Soren
