Does that mean that Haun capsules are available directly to the public? If so, what’s the best way to order them, and do you know the price?

Tim we had this discussion last evening , you were condescendant, deleted your posts, refused to send any of your capsules (proposed you to buy one) , why should i ? i am producing and recording artists and sometimes spend my sparetime on diy mics and gear, for me a product that is unobtainable, impossible to test or even approach simply doesn't exist , period. Maybe (a big maybe) your capsules are the best in the galaxy, i simply can't judge. In the meantime, somewhere in china, a huge factory with decades of building capsules suddenly decided to replicate this gem. The quality of craftmanship is outstanding (and judging by pictures far better than yours). considering the fact that i can buy four of them (and some free beers) for the price of one of yours Beesneez or any available in the market i can be confident that it is by far the best available choice. Even at the aliexpress price i think it's a bargain. With my experience in think i can smell snake oil better than a hunting dog, and from what i've heard your CK12 doesn't meet everyone expectations, so i retire my offer to buy one of yours and ordered 4 more chinese CK12 ... and currently drinking my free beers ! cheers !

I can vouch for the quality of Tim’s capsules, and also the long-standing discourse about just how difficult it is to get the CK12 consistently right, especially across all its patterns
I’ve long felt that off-axis character is the biggest distinction between excellent capsules and those that are only “okay,” and with no capsule type is that more true than the CK12
I’ve used Tim’s capsules next to original CK12s and they’re very much in that world (and sound basically every bit as good), but of course the CK12 “sound” was a bit of a moving target over its production (and the original AKG capsules don’t seem to have been the most consistent unit-to-unit in any case)
I don’t have any experience with these new made-in-China CK12s, but am encouraged that someone is at least trying. I’d love to see Arienne take an interest at some point in the future…

I don't have same readings than you i measured 73pf beetween membrane and backplate and 12pf beetween backplates

Pure joy, i mostly record in omni ! The moment the result is good to my ears i vastly prefer a good omni than a poor cardiod Again i would be so pleased to try a "real" CK12 ...

Just a question, have you managed to look at the Beesneez CK12 ? Does it suffers from design issues ?
I was too quick on this one. Not omni, but whatever happens to be left of pattern control with undamped CK12 since the backplates are too far apart.
The only reason i keep replying is in case someone here is ready to listen, and interested in how capsules work.
Short history about this chinese CK12.
- Ruud announces they appeared.
- Tim expresses his doubts regarding it
- I jump at Tim's throat, and we get into a heavy discussion that escalates beyond this topic, moves to direct messages. I trusted the chinese company could do it right.
- The capsules arrive to me, and it turns out Tim was right and i post my apologies to Tim.
- Out of curtesy i report to the Chinese company their capsule is badly tuned, however without input on how to correct it as I, just like @Tim Campbell don't want to help any company for free. It is not on me to do it either, as the capsule is actually a rip-off, of one of the iterations of Tim's capsule.
- They try to fix them, send me updated version, and it still sucks. It is ok mechanically to a certain extent. The issue they have no idea how to tune it, and are currently selling this thing as "cosmetically" accurate CK12.
You can buy this capsule anywhere from 50-400$. There's no way of knowing what you are getting. You might like what you hear, but there's more to CK12, or any other capsule for that matter, than simply liking how it sounds.

I don't know why everyone lets Sneesby off the hook, he sent me a $1k worth of trash a decade ago and i kept quiet about it because his child was sick, YMMV but i don't care if it bothers anyone that i say it now,
Garp, if you have samples that sound great to back up your claims then post them, it goes a long way toward credibility, here's a file of me playing guitar(and i stink!) into a matachung c12 with a tc capsule, i've tried just about all the rest in this mic and none came even close, if you link a file of something that sounds exceptional i'm sure most of us will investigate
