@rock soderstrom : Did you ever build a microphone in this body?
Technically yes, but I haven't finished building it, that's still at the top of my list.

I have to admit that my original plan didn't really work out, the body is simply too slim for the planned tube and capsule. I'm not sure if I'm going to finish it or start from scratch with a new plan.

So I can understand Tony, I should have informed myself better and planned more precisely. I generally tend to work with housings that are too small, and not just for microphones. It's getting on my nerves because it takes so much time to squeeze everything into the small housing. You're often forced to make endless adjustments just because you're making life unnecessarily difficult for yourself. Lesson learned, I hope... 😂

I have rebuilt two C12s with fixed bias and one SM204 based on the original schematics with these microphone bodies. In the SM204 I use a replacement AKG Nylon VR C12 capsule and Moby's fat V2545, in the two C12s I use these "Chinese accurate" CK 12 capsules and UTM0512 transformers. Very little space, but it works. Beesneez C12s only barely fit with other capsule holders, the backplate contact also has to be made at the top and the cables then run down to the side in front of the membrane holder ring. And as KK already said, the flat Mic body plate for the capsule holder is not optimal and somehow creates resonance reflection effects, affects the frequency response,... and so I insulated the bottom of the capsule with a chunk of this black antistatic foam that is intended for transporting/packaging ICs. It actually works very well. Although it is certainly not a super professional solution. But hey, it is DIY.....🤟❤️
