No, i used conductive glue at the corners just to make the contact, and flexible glue for the rest of the grille.

I have modified several of these, including a tube m50 with spherical capsule, and have no issues whatsoever.

Hey Kk, what capsule were you using for capsule in those tube m50? I’ve been really wanting to build a pair of those.

I made them myself, using mxl603 type of capsule as a starting point, and the original Neumann info found on saturn sound.

That’s awesome! I’d love to learn more about that. How did they turn out!? Did you fab the acrylic or 3d print? Turn it on a lathe? So curious.

And the capsule element was just one that came with the mxl sdc?

They do exactly what they should pattern/RF wise. Sound great. I have reported progress/results on these here before, i'll try to gig up the posts.
