Far too late i'm sure  [ if i didn't already say it ]
BUT
1/4" outs [ or a switch ] that pass to the next input
when nothing is plugged in [ to the previous output ]
would be handy and save a few xlrs

what does anybody do ? is there a switching scheme
to easily gang modules ?
I was thinking other than a patch bay cause i don't run one at home
more like an easy way to make channel strips in the 500 rack

I was thinking of similar concepts but for a modular console arrangement with say three frames, one on top of the next and then being able to link to the module in the same slot of the rack below. Maybe someone can design a different backplane for some of these variations??
Michael

well, I already have the backplanes made and in stock, too late to change anything.
Svart is right, those applications are what patchbays made for.
it doesn't make sense on the backplane.

Jeff is this {http://www.silentarts.de/DIY/GDIY51X/GDIY51PSU_rev01-Schematic} the PS that you will carry boards for? Am I safe to gather these parts?

James

I don't know if Jeff has plans to stock this PSU PCBs.
and he won't get rev01, only on special orders ;)
He can if he wants to do.
rev02 is in customers hands at the moment ...

... but the parts on the PCBs are the same, only some resistor values changed.

Volker,

I definitely need to stock and carry your PSU PCB's if you are OK with that. I assume so.

Sahib's PSU enclosures as well.

Like my friend Tubemooley Dana W. would say giddee up boys!  ;)

Cheers, Jeff

Jeff this is good news.

Volker do you have a BOM for your rev 2 to get the footprint of the parts right?

Transformer spec ? ie: VA for each voltage ?
