I'd like to change my 1 11spacer with psu (rackmount would be cool but whatever) to 2 11space racks with psu.

Thanks guys!!

Update:
a huge package should arrive in Chicago today. all metal work in, all PCBs in, some (not all) Neutrik connectors :)
still waiting for the backorder - looks like Neutrik build those I used only to order.
once they arrive at my place I will forward them ASAP.

I think it would be fine if the $ people would agree with $310, even Jeff promised $300 is fixed.
shipping to Jeff was very expensive, but we didn't want to wait for a ship, it went by air.
(Sahib, what was the weight of this package ?)

all people receiving from me know I give a 2% discount for bank transfer, to avoid those crazy PayPal fees.
I suggested Jeff to add the PayPal fees ;)

There aren't that many 500 projects to choose from yet though. hope this will change
disagreed ;D
and I know a lot of people working on more

10.00 more is easy, no problem
it's still a good price
nice to hear the progress

Also maybe look at google checkout to use CC 's
it's worked for Guavatone
I can wait longer if it means avoiding paypal

Glad to hear you are helping us out with the shipping costs. But they indeed broke our back.

Jeff's batch is on its way. In a couple of days he'll have them in stock. Due to snow I have not been able to collect the final batch from the fabricator to ship to Volker but hopefully I'll collect them on Friday.

I have just packed one unit and the weight works out 4.8Kg exact but I'll square it to 5Kg as it is impossible to pack them identical. It is already taking over 1/2 hour to pack one unit. Highly labour intensive.

Here are the exploded views for the assembly.

There are two types of screws used for the assembly. For mounting the Neutric connectors and the back panel M2.5 is used. For the side panels and the rack ears #4-40 UNC. The module mountings are also #4-40 UNC. Few spare screws are included within the package.

For assembling the PCB first 18 pin edge connector should be soldered, then the Neutrics. Now, when you are soldering the Neutrics, first solder only one pin not three of them. This is very important. Once all of them are soldered onto the board through one pin keep the board on your desk flat, edge connectors faced down. Lay over the back panel and screw all the Neutrics using M2.5, then turn back the board  and solder the rest of the pins. This is very important.

Hi guys,

A little update for everyone (who will be getting the racks from me that is ;)). The packages from Sahib have landed at Newark, NJ and have been cleared thru customs this morning. They will either be trucked or flown into Chicago O'Hare tomorrow, weather depending. I should have another update around 9:00 am tomorrow morning. They will next be trucked to me by a local carrier. I should see them at my place next Monday. I guess this is all depending upon the weather. We are getting nailed with out first major winter storm of the season right now.

They are really getting close now!!!

Cheers, Jeff

I'm sure this question has already been answered, so sorry:

What about PSU?

I don't care about a case for the PSU, I just want the PCB and any "proprietary parts" for it? How's that going? I'll rack it up myself.
Just curious because the rack is useless for me without a PSU.

cheers
;)

Even a temporary PSU can be made from available PSU PCB kits from JLM or others on this forum. I am sure there is allot of chomping at the bit to use these suckers ASAP!

From a different point of view: What about the guy who doesn't really want to deal with sourcing enclosures?  Is a kit going to be available that corresponds with the pcb?

Hey guys,

Things are getting real close now. I am planning on compiling and sending out PP invoices this weekend for the first group that will be shipping. I should have them in my hands on next Monday.

In looking at the spreadsheet, I am missing emails with ship to and PayPal info from a number of people. I have just went thru and sent pm's to all that are missing. Hopefuly that will work as not everyone shows an email address in their user info here at Prodigy.

This is a link to the pertinent post!!!

Cheers all, Jeff

Just to make clear whats the price: 310$ + shipping??
yes. and plus whatever taxes you have to pay.

I decided this now without speaking to the other guys, but I know the costs, it is just necessary.

the time the price of USD 300 has been posted EUR 215 has been USD 300,
but it isn't anymore. and most of the parts are not paid in USD.

kind people will add some additional $ to cover Jeffs PayPal fees too  ;)
still a good price, isn't it.

edit:
3nity, this prices are only for the first 100 pieces, price might / will change in the future

sorry if this has been posted before - but who do i email my payment & shipping details to for packages OUTSIDE of the us?

thanks silent:arts, sahib & jeff :)
