since you are not the only one asking:
the price of the Rondo Mueller transformer is EUR 41,70 (outside the EU)

now shipping is the party stopper:

the standard DHL snake mail service is EUR 35,00 up to 5kg (one transformer is a bit over 2kg, add package).
there is a "Premium" option for priority shipment, add EUR 17,00.
I don't know if this "Premium" is faster.

DHL Express would be EUR 95,90 up to 4kg, EUR 149,90 up to 8kg.   :

you might consider a small group buy (I think up to eight should work) from Cemal, who has 50 Mueller transformers in stock:

The shipping to US for a single transformer is working out as £35 by Interparcel. This is the cheapest. This ******* country is so expensive that I can't believe. On the other hand a 10K box is working out £55

as far as I know Interparcel is faster than standard DHL

Deutsche Post is DHL.
shipping inside the EU is much cheaper using Hermes (EUR 13,90), weight doesn't matter (only size ;D), trackable and insured up to EUR 500.

How much is Cemals XFMR?

My price for the transformer is £38.

Shipping it seperately is  working out unfortunately quite expensive. To USA by DHL it is £39 and by Royal Mail £35.

On the other hand shipping 4 of them costs £55. Until we get Jeff organised I am happy to ship as a group buy. I can pack them individually so that who ever gets to do the inbound shipping does not have to deal with it.

Edit: I can ship 8 of them to US for £75. That makes under £10 per transformer. It would be a matter of how much the inbound shipping would cost.

Just FYI on DHL for the North Americans. And possibly South Americans

Deutsche Post is Germany's domestic service, which is a Separte division of DHL.
From my experience in North America...
1. Avoid Deutshe Post they take for freaking ever! You will think it is lost and then months later it will appear out of the blue.
2. DHL express is a totally different organization. Kind of a corporate spin-off from Deutsche post really. They are fast, very reliable and very eager to help if anything goes wrong.
They share the same logo , Yellow/Red colours and  that is all. I think. DHL rules, I use them whenever I ship international if I can.

So I am going to order 2 of these so far. Anyone else want one jump in now.
I will place the order in the next 10 hours or so.  It would be nice to get 2 more as Cemal has pointed out.

if you don't have a 511 case yet you don't need the PSU Xformer yet.
but there are people with 511 cases who don't want to wait anymore (understandable).
the 511 Kits do not automatically come with the PSU Xformer or PSU PCB, this is an extra option to order.
for sure they come in the same package if you order them together.

we have to deal will our own payments in EUR, USD & GBP.
depends on the currency values once we have paid our bills.
our three countries / three currencies business isn't easy
would be nice to say it is EUR XXX, or USD XXX, or GBP XXX.
but we all buy, pay & ship to each other, and the currencies change in the meantime :

Has anyone had the opportunity to test compatibility of the a broad variety of modules in the 51x? I am finding out that even in mass produced cases there are some units that won't work with cases or cases can only run a couple of one kind. Any work on compatibility?

I (we) will not buy all modules available for testing :
incompatible will be all modules created for 15 pins and have a full enclosure.
on the other side, you can solder 15 pin card edge connectors at those affected slots.
now it is compatible ;D

i 've tested purple auction and sc1 from five fish ( 15 pin ) in the 51x case with originale edge connectors of 51x, once they are screwed they woprk perfectly, i'll try api 554 in a few time to see, but don't think there is problem.

I only have 1 person confirmed with Email so far. Wintree who is local to me.

A lot of numbers flying around here.... So here is the breakdown:

I think 1 flat rate box from USPS is around 11 dollars

Cemal has quoted me for 4.
($322 + 33.00 local postage ) / 4  = $88.75 each

If we had 8 it would be:
(583 + 77 local postage) / 8 = $82.50 each

If we compare that with just ordering 1 from Volker with the priority option = $120.00 dollars, without priority option it is $98.50 dollars
But Volker can maybe fit 2 in the package 2kg + 2kg + box. Needs to be below 5kg total.
Then the price for 2 is approx 173.00 dollars / 2 = $86.00 approx. each

I imagine Cemal can do the same or better on 2 as well??


So if you email me before 12 PST today and we get at least 4 in the buy then I will place the order, But you need to pay me today! If you cannot do not email me.  Otherwise Winetree and myself will just get 2 since we are in the same shipping destination and that calculation works out the cheapest for us.
